I know that I have a Old paper clipping, telling about a Robbery that occurred around the 1880s. Seems that they were delivering payment to the sac and fox, when it was Robbed. Word got Out and the Indians gathered up to start a chase. They chase him that evening, but lost him. The next day (morning) they caught him or them. Without the Money! Needless to say that the Sac and Fox took care of the Bandits (KILLED). this is from a old Lincoln Paper clipping dated 1948. The place of the treasure is near Davenport.
