  • Rich Bar, on the Similkameen River, produced 2,500 pounds of placer gold.  The Rich Bar motherlode vein has never been found.

  • Somewhere near the St Mary's Indian Mission, about 5 miles from Omak, is said to be a cache of gold of $18,000 to $20,000, buried by Chief Smitkin.
