An unknown quantity of treasure is supposedly buried in a cave above Buckskin Joe.
$3,000 in gold bullion, stolen from a stage coach, is supposedly buried between the holdup site and the Dexter Mine.
A miner, who is known to have buried several caches of gold coins around his cabin, was killed before revealing the locations.
$80,000 was stolen from the Fairplay stage coach. The bandits were killed soon after, but the money never recovered.
The Reynolds Gang supposedly buried numerous caches of loot in various locations in Colorado, including $100,000 in Hardcart Gulch.
